In the early 2020s the world was hit by a pandemic. New Zealand navigated it better than most. But there were mandatory isolation periods for anyone infected. This had a particular impact on schools. With teachers prone to infection due to their constant exposure to kids who have a habit of coughing and sneezing all over anything and anyone; schools found themselves struggling to stay open.
Substi sought to help schools connect in real-time with substitute teachers who were available on the day, with short notice and ideally a negative RAT test.
A native iOS and Android app for teachers and a web admin console for schools meant any permanent teacher or school administrator for an approved school could fire out a push notification to ‘substis’ and find cover in seconds.
The site is in hibernation now… but ready to go when the World needs it next!
